ZEUS Scooters launched its “Give Back” program in 2020, aiming to donate a portion of the profits from each local city to charity. Since October 2020, the company, which originates from Ireland, has also been represented in Würzburg. The city welcomed the e-scooter company with open arms and quickly adapted to a new, sustainable means of transportation.

The company recently made a contribution to a good cause in the city of Würzburg, the Würzburger Kindertafel. The Kindertafel provides healthy meals to children in need. The company’s first donation went to the Ulm Hospice at the end of 2020. The company hopes to support more charities with their donation this year.

“We are grateful to be able to support another charitable organization with our donation. This time, one that cares for children in need. We strongly believe that as a company it is our responsibility to give back to the local community, which plays a key role in our growth,” emphasizes Damian Young. He adds, “Our Give Back program was temporarily paused last year due to the nationwide COVID-19 ban. However, we are hoping to revive our initiative this year to make up for lost time.”

“Children are our future and their well-being is of utmost importance. We were moved by the mission of the organization, which ensures that every child in school receives a healthy meal to help them focus,” said Damian Young. The Irishman visited the Würzburger Kindertafel in person to present the 500-euro donation to Executive Director Ute Kremenn. The donation will be used to provide 300 children with food parcels. Also present were Yanice Harich, a member of the ZEUS customer service team, and Christian Anderson, head of ZDI Mainfranken, where ZEUS Scooters has set up an innovation center. The company is looking to work with ZDI Mainfranken to create more employment opportunities in the city to encourage growth and innovation.

Ms. Ute Kremen, representative of Würzburger Kindertafel said:

“Especially in these, for everyone not so easy times, we think it is really great to receive a donation from a company that is still so young in Würzburg. We will invest the money in food for the children and say thank you very much to Zeus!”

“We are grateful that we were able to support the Würzburger Kindertafel. We are pleased to be able to provide healthy and holistic meals to school children in need. With the city’s continued support, we hope to have a greater impact on local issues and communities,” Damian Young concludes.
